What’s Your Color? #91

What's Your Color?

What’s Your Color?

Do you find that you are drawn to a certain set of colors?

There are times of the year that I look for colors around me.

Now I am looking for white and pink blossoms in the trees outside my back door that bring signs of fruit that will come. Perhaps I will soon see pear, peach and plum fruit popping out.

There will also be bright purple coming in the sage soon and then bright red in the flowers along the back path.

What’s your color? Do you have one or a few coming to your mind?

Now, some may say that they don’t see these colors around you..

Let’s go down that trail and see what colors can come from a new view.

Where can you find color to add to what is near you?

One time I was with my sister to get a pedicure and we chose the nail polish by its name. The smiles were grand that day as I then left with this bright red named Up the Amazon Without a Paddle.

It also seemed to represent life at that time, so the smiles went on for days after that!

Recently, I popped on a lipstick with the fun name of Very Raspberry.

The rest of the story is why this color makes me smile. It happens to go with a song by the pop icon Prince and the song Raspberry Beret

Yes, it makes me smile every time I open this tube and I may even keep a two-step going as I walk along.

I have found that color can be added to my next favorite background of black.

Aha, you say. That sounds more like what you may know me as wearing and seeing in your mind’s eye.

What’s your color that goes with black?

Yes, I agree.  What’s your color that goes with black?

Any of the ones I have listed and even more.

A few years ago I found that my colors had changed which was a curious thing to be in the middle of for me, and a few others around me.

I actually took a test with a friend as she told me about this one. It turned out that my style had turned on a dime and flipped flopped.

Who knew that could happen?

Well, it was a surprise to me.

When I asked what my color was, it was all new and yet, it seemed that deep colors like black, raspberry and purple were here.

I mentioned this to another friend, and we had to pull out pictures from over 20 years ago to compare the changes.

It was indeed apparent that I had gone from soft light flowing colors to bold yet calm colors and fabric.

Fascinating! It did help me become mindful for a bit.

I am still considering this.

I am still considering how this change has come to be and also going with it.

Colors are everywhere and I can find what works for me in many tones and shades.

Going with it is the plan for me and adding a fun rhythm at the same time is a bonus!

How about you, my friends.

What’s your color?

Maybe your colors have stayed tried and true for years.

Perhaps you are in the phase of looking for new ones to try and you want to look for a new color to add to your world.

It may be for me as I stroll through my yard to see what colors I can add next.

I may be adding some colors to my toes or lips, as well.

Where can you go to do that?

There may be a garden center to add some trees or flowers in your space.

A bit of retail therapy or window shopping could also be part of the near future.

Fun with friends or making new connections while building on who I’ve become?

Sure, that could be part of a new plan, as well.

Come along, if you’re looking for a good space to be in with others. I am up for that!
