Break it Down Again #119

Break it Down Book

Break it Down Again

It’s that time of year. Let’s break it down again for those of you who are looking for balance and calm.

I am here for the calm and yet have come to realize that balance is the great quest for some of us.

Does that include me?

Perhaps.

Let’s break it down again, piece by piece and step by step.

Then this song from Tears for Fears came as the rhythm of the day began to roll along.

My toes tapped as the tune increased with each note.

Break it down again with me.

Break it down again with me as the leaves turn yellow then crunchy under my zipped-up boots.

This is where I can find the beginning of balance.

Trees are meant to turn colors and then have their leaves fall off their branches. There is time for all of it in the realm of nature.

Balance.

Where else can you find a bit of this in life?

How about in love? It’s another space that I have walked along with these two pieces.

Calm is what I feel when love is in balance for me. Even when silence is present, and no words are needed. Somehow that is when calm and balance come into play with those in our house.

Here’s how it looked when I broke it down today.

There are times when I look across a room and know that my look with a quick raised eyebrow can say more than 20 words in that one moment.

Have you done this? It is grand and fun.

And then there are these times that could include both calm and balance.

We break it down again and again.

How about when one touch can send along more that even words will ever be able to convey? This is how we break it down again and again.

I have had moments come to me in this realm that are powerful and timely.

Some can be said, and others cannot.

Do you have some that come to you?

Here is one that I can share.

It also goes with this folded book that is also about showing me how to break it down.

You may be able to see the page break, as it is sitting on a small stand.

I see this book when I am working from home, on a video call or creating more ways to share what may be coming next.

This book and the breaks you see are actually how I began learning how to find calm, how to create balance and when to step away to give myself a new view.

This book gives me hope for both.

You see, my friends, this book gives me hope for both calm and balance.

I learned this with our Tall One and my husband. We three began this together many years ago.

Let me tell you one more thing this book taught me.

There has not been much balance to many parts of my life. By that I mean I have not tried to keep all things at a steady equal interaction.

Like the rotating plates visual I was shown when younger.

You know the one. There are spinning plates, on top of long sticks, going all at once and you have to keep them all balanced and going at once.

If one plate falls, then all of them are out of balance. Does that relate to life for some?

That felt unmanageable to me for decades so that has not been what balance means to me for many years.

Balance now feels more like doing what is needed in this minute and then staying with calm for the next needed thing to come.

What does that feel like for you?

Perhaps you can sit with it and find what this means for you.

That is what I will go with for now, my friends.

I think I am meant to be creating calm, with love while staying here in a good space of balance.

Break it down for you and your space.

I most definitely need to contemplate this for a bit….I do wonder about the balance for me and at times I need to find more calm.

That is the one thing for me… sitting with it and letting calm come when it can. Let yours come, my friend. I am with you!
