Your morning can be a catapult #152

Morning can be a catapult

Your morning can be a catapult.

I tested a theory this week.

This has come from Jay Shetty and what he shares about your morning can either catapult or sinkhole. A catapult places you in the perfect position to fly throughout your day.

It’s time to share the results with you.

You get to let me know how you think things are going so far.

  • I looked up to watch a thunderstorm.

  • Planted my feet and stacked myself in a mountain pose during a presentation.

  • Felt the rain wisp across my face.

  • Listened to children laugh.

  • Watched the sun bounce off a puddle and a bright purple bell flower.

  • Stopped as birds chirped to start the day.

  • Heard a train whistle as I was inside a brick building.

  • Realigned my thoughts to go with actions that I want for one more day.

Think about how you started your days recently.

Perhaps it was this week or even from this past month.

Is your morning a catapult to help you?

Is your morning a catapult to help you for the day?

I have sat with my observations to learn a couple of these at this time.

It did come while I looked at the bright purple flower at sunrise.

Let’s begin.

When I choose to look up it does help me get into a perfect position.

Looking up to see another view has given me a perspective to look beyond what I can see when I began.

This started for me when I was young, watching clouds, then when I climbed trees to get to the highest branch and when I would run to the top of mountains with others.

Now, looking up is what happens when I drive at sunrise or pause as I walk out my door for another morning to catapult my morning for a better start.

As I think about the other things that I experimented with recently, the time that I felt the rain on my face was what I’d like to share next.

I had an arm full of items.

My keys were being tucked away into a bag as I dodged the rain that started to fall.

Then I realized that this was what I loved.

Then I realized that this was what I loved.

The water was being mostly shielded by my umbrella, so I slowed my pace.

As the wind carried the rain around and onto my skin, I felt refreshed.

Suddenly, the smile on my face reminded me that other storms had come in life when a similar slowness was created.

Rain that time was a gentle nudge to go with the moment and feel the sensation of what was happening right then.

Did my bags get wet along with my cheeks?

Sure.

I may even have a few more smile lines that I count as a good thing because of the morning that catapulted me forward.

Is there one more that you’ve thought of as we’ve come along?

There is another one for me as the experiment closes, for now.

Stopping as the birds chirped seemed to be the place holder on many days.

Perhaps they were telling me to let the fresh air inside.

It could be that the birds were talking to each other even more across the yards as the seasons change.

There are flocks of flyers settling in the trees all around us.

It seems there is much to do and say to one another.

What if the birds are an example to me?

There is much to do and say to one another.

Finding time to do and be at the start of the day.

Finding the time to do and be with others is what I am seeing in this chirping at the start of the day.

Here is what I know now.

Even while the days get busier, or so it seems.

When it feels like there is a list a mile long of that stuff to check off, or so it seems.

These three things are what has stayed with me during my short experiment.

What if we looked at a morning at a time to see what can come next for each person in our realm?

I will think about what I need for my morning to continue to catapult me into a day that is good, great and perfect for me.

Who would like to come?

A great reminder and plan….I will change the starting of my days. I desperately need those catapults. Thank you!
