Getting Saucy with It #197

Getting Saucy with It
I’m not sure if you can relate with this.
I saw this delicious chocolate sauce actually covering my dish so I began to think about other ways getting saucy can cover things.
Being saucy can look like being bold, audacious or wise.
When I looked a bit deeper, to see into the layers of the sauce, there was more about getting with it.
I began to remember times when each of these things also looked like being playful and bright. The view before me seemed to be altered by the experience and others who were with me.
Let’s see how this can look.
There have been people I’ve known who have shown an audacious spirit.
Who have been through periods in their life when they seem to pop up like a daisy after being in an illness. Like they are coming through an avalanche of heavy snow.
Yet their determination and grit to learn more, play again and create joy with those in life continues.
They have a way of getting saucy with life and with every person.
They have a way of getting saucy with life and with every person. It seems to come naturally.
This audaciousness is a pleasure to observe.
In fact, I have tried to double down and match it in life.
What I have found is there is a secret in this sauce. It comes from the soul and can’t be manufactured.
Isn’t that a kicker?
The harder I tried to make it happen the less likely it was to appear.
It was only when I became smart enough to play it cool that the sauce flowed with fun and boldness.
A young one showed how getting saucy with it came to be.
There was wisdom that I saw in another view as a young one showed how getting saucy with it came to be.
Picture how this looked one time.
It was a quiet afternoon with winter sunlight falling in through a small window.
Two of us had walked down a hallway after watching a short program on TV.
A sudden break was needed to rest so the small rectangle rug had become a landing zone for a few minutes.
I watched carefully as the Tall One was resting, gathering strength and pausing before moving on.
He looked at me out of the corner of his eye with a glimmer of a joke coming on.
No words were needed as our eyes met with a look of ‘what have you gotten me into this time, mom?’ seemed to roll from him.
The quick small grin was met with an answer of ‘I have no idea what we’re doing here’ and a grin of my own met his sparkling eyes.
We waited a few more minutes before that day continued.
How was it possible that even with no perceived energy this was how a bright spirited soul was teaching me? His wisdom knew what to do and when.
That was how we were. My Tall One was always teaching me and I was trying to listen.
My smile is as grand as his had been as I remember it even now.
We were able to get saucy with it in our mind, might and soul.
Are there times when it is possible that we are able to get saucy with it in our mind, might and soul.
Yes, I believe that is the case.
There are times when the sauce seems like it is secret, or we need to make a new recipe.
Then there is time to know what to uncover and how to be bold and bright.
Think about what your time is now to learn more, play again and create joy as you look for your way.
We can do it together, even when we take a break and wonder about what we have gotten into this time.
