Blooming in This Spot #138

Blooming in this spot

Blooming in This Spot

I went on a walkabout recently.

The breeze would come and go while I went from here to there.

Then I realized there were many things blooming in this spot where I had stopped for a moment.

I was enjoying the moment and then noticed all of the blossoms popping around me.

How many times has this happened to me?

Perhaps this is the time for me to look back and reflect with you.

There are moments when I’ll feel a rumble of calm come then get curious as to why that has come.

As if a deep pulse is in my bones that also sends a floating feeling.

The river of peace it can bring to me takes my breath as it brings the next.

It only takes a quick check to look up and see that the flowers and trees are the things that have brought this to me.

Was it always the case?

The pause for every blooming thing has come with years of learning.

Most importantly with our son.

Years of going up and down mountains.

Playing in the park and taking day trips.

Visiting family and feeding ducks.

Things that were blooming in the spot around us.

Each moment brought time to see the things that were blooming in the spot around us.

Dallin loved to sit, watch others and play during our walkabouts.

What a grand teacher of life he was!

The time with him brought me to the point of being able to continue now.

This current time has also reminded me to look forward while reflecting on how I came to this point.

Here is one more way that came to me as I stopped recently.

As the blooms are coming, I noticed these things.

There are flowers that come in all colors like the clusters on this tree.

White with centers of yellow.

This is what I see first every time.

Bright blooms capture my attention and I know that I am getting closer to fine.

Look at the details with me.

Do you see the branches that hold it all up?

That is also the beauty I have found each time.

Beautiful things blooming in this spot.

There is always a part holding up the beautiful things blooming in this spot that may be one of the last pieces seen.

The branch is what I noticed as the breeze came.

Can we have blooming things without it?

I haven’t found a way to do one without the other.

Have you?

Here is what I’ve learned about this while learning about my space.

I now plan what to grow near us by walking through paths in gardens

Gathering ideas, names of plants and creating while meeting others.

If I take time to let the breeze flow over me while remembering what brought me here, I may be able to do more.

Let the breath come while blooming in this spot.

Take more day trips.

Go up and down mountains.

Continue to create.

Doing that like the blossoms have always shown me.

Who wants to join me?
