Being Movable in Life #176

Being Movable in Life
Here we go again.
I am going to wander down some thoughts with you today.
It may feel familiar to you, or this may be the time when you join me in wandering in a new arena and realm.
There are times when I get curious like the cat I had growing up.
This cat was white with orange tips, soft as a cloud and purred when eating soft food.
She was loved and also came inside, even when I was told not to bring her in through the window.
What’s a young teenager to do when the cat is meowing at the window and it’s cold outside?
Yes, you know I let her in and blocked my bedroom door so my room was the only one she could be in.
I became movable in life.
I was the one who became movable in life to make it so that another life was comfy.
Learning about what could be done and when had not started here.
Nor was it where I stopped in choosing what I was going to do and when.
Having a cat be what I let be with me was important at that time of my life.
Here is where you get to come with me to wander and wonder about other times when we may be movable in life.
What can this look like?
Here is another time for me to get your ideas going.
I was sitting in a small diner for breakfast waiting for a few museums to open. This diner was in the middle of a large city and the only person I knew was at work.
The two things I knew to do was stay within a certain number of blocks and get to the train station at the end of the day.
Got it!
As I sat with breakfast before me, I remember being asked if I was with anyone and if I knew what I was there for.
You know these answers by now, so I let them know that I was with myself, and I was there to see the city.
Can you imagine being more movable in life?
Can you imagine being more movable in life?
Oh, the impressionable young one that I was makes me grin now!
The person in the diner gave me the same exact instructions.
Stay within a certain number of blocks in the city and take the taxi to the train station.
A day in this massive city then took place with tours, other fun people and walking for blocks while I learned about history.
I also learned that being movable in life can mean listening to those who were a step or two ahead of me in their learning.
By the time I got to the taxi, I learned that paying attention to every good thing was not only important, but it was also how a community can be there for every person around.
My day ended with the taxi driver sitting in the train station with me until the person I was scheduled to meet with came and we were on our way out the door.
A final wave and I was on my way in life.
Life came in ways that I couldn’t imagine at that time and these two events brought me to my next space and time.
Are you with me in your timeline? Let’s keep going!
I found myself feeling like I needed to move and bounce along in many new ways.
This came to the point where I actively sought out new communities and those who were steps ahead in knowledge in advocacy, technology and education.
Those who were willing to help me become even more movable.
Those who were willing to help me become even more movable in life, as if the dozen bees were ready to bumble along with me again.
It felt like I needed to become like this glass roof to move, adjust and allow for access to joy at levels I had not known before.
Do you see that there are panels here that are individually framed?
There is also a thin covering to give shade during the hottest time of the year.
Lights have been added to give as much brightness as possible throughout the space.
The structure here makes it so each can be opened slightly or wide open, as needed, to support air flow and growth to what is below.
I was able to have a time in life that was amazingly, beautifully and grandly blessed to know levels of community that helped me be movable in life.
It helped to know that others could be seen at times adding comfort to me with shade from intense heat.
Others shared their information and knowledge of light to help me have a brighter day for many years.
There were some days that I then shared the brightness with someone after it had been given to me.
When I was given one tidbit, it was then for me to pass it along for the next person to know something helpful.
I moved and learned.
I moved, learned and was asked the same questions.
Did I know anyone, and did I know what I was doing?
It felt like a never-ending to-do list without those in this group.
Yet, when we shared with each other, the list was always accomplished.
Flowing along together became how we moved in life.
Now I truly know this one thing.
Being movable in life has created wide open spaces along with the best people.
Being movable in life has created wide open spaces when I needed them along with support to know the best people.
Each person has come for a reason, a season or to be with me for a lifetime.
Did I know what I was doing?
Only with one, two and then a dozen others buzzing along with me.
Now I stay curious, think about what a Tall One taught and remind myself that joy is here to be created along the way.
Let’s seek out next steps together and see what we can find, my friends. I’m wide open to this with you!
