Gate to Eternity #177

Gate to Eternity
How often do you trust what you are doing now?
Is this something that comes easy for you or is it something you keep at bay?
Think back to when one of these may have started for you.
It would have been when you were as brave as an eight-year-old or when you thought you knew more as a young thirty something.
Let’s tiptoe through these questions as we go into this week.
I’ve come to this with some thought.
Perhaps there was a time when trusting the things that happened came easier for you.
Then there may be moments when choices came along and you were able to make decisions with quick one, two and three successions.
In them is hidden the gate to eternity
I saw the quote that says, ‘Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.’
Kahlil Gibran
It seemed to bring me to a new level of attention in a few ways.
Dreaming has brought me many things over the years. I learned to trust them during deep sleep and when I was daydreaming.
Trusting my dreams was a way to step into a new realm at times.
Finding a hidden gate sounds like a path to meander into next.
A hidden gate could be where to go to find places to wander and wonder.
Trusting to find what can come may be the wonder filled place to begin in a new realm.
Even when I’ve not known what is coming in the new realm.
When I am filled with trust, I can go into what my dreams show me to go with.
It is when I can go forward while being brave, thinking about that will last for an eternity.
The gate to eternity is what I dare to push.
The gate to eternity is what I dare to push when I trust what I have found.
Think about this with me.
Dreams were trusted when I was brave as the eight-year-old that faces the world with a smile.
Crafted what was before me as the steps before the gate became steadfast and steady.
One time this looked like being able to make decisions with friends when we were young, running through the neighborhood all day.
Gates to eternity were everywhere as we created games and adventure.
I rushed along through fields and fences. Jumped over small canals as laughter filled our days.
Trusting that the days would last forever.
Then another gate popped open that brought more ways to dream and trust what could come.
I trusted that opening the gate would bring more adventure and laughter.
I trusted that opening the gate would bring more adventure and laughter for many years.
Here is where your dreams can walk through the gate to eternity.
Think about what you trust now. Or one thing that is still being kept at bay, that thing you are waiting to do.
Perhaps that is a thing to add to your to-do list. It could be the thing we work on doing like we are as brave as an eight-year-old.
Let’s see what happens in this new realm together.
