The Sweetest Thing #180

The Sweetest Thing

The Sweetest Thing

Take a breath in with me as we go into a sweet time.

This can be because of the time of year and the sweet smells that come with blooms.

It can be when we celebrate with longer days along with treats.

Perhaps you are one that smells both the blooms and the treats such as these.

The sweetest thing is part of what can come as we continue to let the breath flow out.

You may think about the blooms a bit more with a grin alongside me.

Blooms are starting to pop up around in colors like purple, white and yellow.

There are ribbons of leaves rolling open in other parts as I walk to see green on tree limbs as I look up.

Soon more will be planted around our spaces and places. Some will climb up a trellis, others will grow in rows and then some will grow along from bright blossom to full fruit.

Think about what is growing to become the sweetest thing in your space.

Would you add more if you had a clay pot or basket?

That is something I will think about as I go into the way to celebrate what can come this time of year.

I mentioned the treats you see here.

There is more than a dozen different types of doughnuts in the picture. What a collection made by those who knew how to roll them out!

I can almost smell the maple, chocolate, coconut and pure sugar flavors seeping out of the box.

The day this box arrived at an event included serving them to others so they could enjoy each sweet thing.

There were colors and flavors to choose from as people around smiled as they quickly pulled their choice onto a napkin or plate.

Then the smile would appear.

I watched and wondered how each treat was chosen. Was it the color or the flavor?

It is a combination that created the sweetest thing.

That is when I realized that it was a combination that created the sweetest thing.

Isn’t that way it goes?

Both things are how many choices are made, and not only when treats are in front of a person.

It could also be when making a choice and you take a look at it with both your heart and mind.

Here’s what that may look like.

When a new item catches your eye, and you must have it for that nook in your house. Then you wonder if it’s really something that is needed.

Both your heart that loves the color, texture and thought of it in your space to bring brightness and your practical mind will come to a point of agreement.

That is when you bring it with you.

The smile comes along as the sweetest thing does add more than brightness; it brings joy.

There was a time that came to me years ago like this.

A time when I was able to find bliss by looking at things with both my heart and mind.

Bliss is being able to find utter joy and happiness.

Being able to do this while looking at the colors all around.

Perhaps you have a time when both your heart and mind created bliss for you.

I have worked to find more times to have bliss around me, when my heart and mind work together.

What if we did more of this while looking for the sweetest thing?

That may be a thing to do as we go into this time.
