Traveling with Intention #189

Traveling intention

Traveling with Intention

The time has come to look into the future.

What do you see?

I see a time when I will be traveling with intention. Time when I will be creating moments of wonder and awe in a new part of the world.

Here is when I tell you that this is what I thought I’d be doing all the time when I was younger.

Can you believe that?

It’s true!

I was the one who imagined a life of adventure and of being on the go.

Traveling from one place to another takes some planning at times so I was going to do it on planes, trains and even on boats.

Throw in a car or two and it was going to be on the road for me.

There were plans to make and the world to see.

Then a twist and twirl came into play and life happened beautifully for me in another adventurous way.

Yet, I still loved to see places in many ways over the years that have come since then.

It has served me well to continue looking for ways to travel for a day or week when the opportunity presents itself.

My desire to travel with intentions came with a new level.

Turns out my desire to travel with intentions came with a new level of steps.

I found that things were not only helpful as I stepped onto a plane or in the car but what I kept in mind for years.

Take a look at a few of them with me.

First, is the intention to stay flexible as I step out of my comfort zone. Wait! Aren’t that two things at the same time?

Yes, and yes!

It’s one of the things I love about traveling with intention.

Stepping into a new realm with a plan then doing new things along the way.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons that I was going to be a lifelong adventure seeker.

I found a few more tips that sat well with how I liked to do things over many years.

Some of my trips were ones I needed to choose between spending more money that I had budgeted or taking a lower cost look at things.

I’ve done both and had great times while meeting new people.

Have you found times when meeting people brings the adventure to you?

Here’s how it looked for me.

One week in the city near a street with music going all day and most of the night brought me near the river and boats.

Another few days were spent in a family-owned cabin with the stars bright above.

A day trip could have been the best of all when the adventure sent me along the mountains to a small town with the Tall One who changed my trajectory for good many years before.

Stopping for lunch and shopping became part of the intention for fun and joy.

Other trips with new people have come into my plans.

One was recently created when trains were the main transport between cities.

Traveling with intentions was the play of the day.

I was with a group of others who also found that traveling with intentions was the play of the day.

We found that going from one station to the next by going down the many escalators was how we actually got to the train of the day.

The intent was to create the adventure and get to the next stop.

It’s as if we had been on a road to nowhere to a road to the best places in one swoop!

Or that’s what it looked like as the train got going.

How we got there was another story.

On this trip, our group had gone down the escalator then down another level to hop around two trains. We were pulling our luggage and backpacks with us to make sure we were ready for the next few days of our trip.

Then, all of us rumbled along the cars to find our seats, pulled up the bags and dropped into each seat.

At last, we were set for an hour- long ride to the next city.

With all of this, I’ve found that having an open mindset while traveling with these thoughts in mind not only created a great intention but room to see the world in new ways.

I’ll be using them soon for another trip.

Time will tell if it is on a plane, train or by car. All of them will be ways to see the world near me or on the other side of where I go every day.

What can come to you as you travel with intentions?
