What You Need to Say #178

Say what you need to say

What You Need to Say

There comes a time when the words need to be said.

I have decided that we each get to figure out when this is, as it may be at different times in our life.

What you need to say may be something big or small.

Think about this with me as I go into a few things that have danced into my life.

There is a song that comes to mind for me from John Mayer. Pull it up.

I’ll wait.

Okay. Are you ready to get into the rhythm this week as we talk about what you need to say?

Let’s start with the things that bring joy.

Say what we all need to say about when our kids were young.

Say what we all need to say about this from when we or our kids were young.

Think about two times when laughter came to you with openness and freeness.

For me this came over many years as favorite movies started along with treats in hand.

Popcorn, lemonade, chips that left bright orange on our fingers.

Pizza with every topping.

Other good memory food may be coming to you, as well.

Bright eyes were in place for all of us as we watched what character in the movie was going to surprise us next.

The joy that could come to our home with this was magical and gave us words that needed to be said.

Some of the words included feeling happy, excited and energetic about what was happening in our home.

What is the next thing that brings you joy now?

I strive with those next to me to continue to another level of joy.

Doing it with a heart wide open.

Say what you need to say in your space.

Say what you need to say in your space as you go along.

Perhaps you’re like me and have more than these beginning words to say.

It goes with the next moments that now bring joy. They actually go with the movies and characters.

Take a look at the small jar sitting on the wood shelf.

Some things that bring joy are items such as these.

Reminders such as this bring a repeating line in my life.

People who have been there to teach, live fearlessly, and share faith filled moments.

Doing it over and over like the blue linked lines around gold bands.

There are times that doing each of these have surprised me.

Characters in life seem to mimic those seen in the movies watched while eating our favorite food.

Joy came with openness.

Joy came with openness while being with the people who repeatedly taught me.

They lived fearlessly and shared moments to increase my ability to know that others were going to continue being there with my family.

These three things were what needed to be said to each of them.

Now, this is what I ask of you to consider for your first piece.

What is the joy that comes to you repeatedly like these blue linked lines?

I now know when we say what needs to be said we find joy and hope for what can come.

Come with me and we can find this together!
